Jamie Leader

I’ve always been a solo performer. This is where I can sing the songs I write, and favourites by other writers, in a small and intimate setting. And where I can get to know the audience. However in recent years I’ve really enjoyed playing with other musicians. I can stretch out on mandolin, or dobro, and sometimes lap steel. I can be a musician rather than a guitarist.

However, since meeting the wonderful multi-instrumentalist,vocalist, and writer Autumn Dawn Leader in 2016, I’ve been spending more and more time recording and performing with the duo we formed - The Way Out. We make original progressive folk(ish) music, on lyre, piano, guitars, mandolin, and dobro; and we both sing. Check out our website. There’s sound and vision and a gig list. You’ll also find there a track from our forthcoming album to be released in 2018. And there’s even more stuff on our facebook pages

I also work with Paul Soubutts in The Bellevilles. We’re a GoodtimeRootsyRockinRollingBluesySkiffle kinda thing. We play guitars, dobro, harmonica, and mandolin. And we both sing. And if the mood takes us we have also been known to bring along a banjo, a bouzouki, a ukulele or a lap steel guitar. We sing songs by Chuck Berry, Lonnie Donegan, Elvis Presley, Django Reinhardt, Hank Williams, Fats Domino, The Stray Cats, The Rolling Stones, and lots of other stuff you’ll love.
